Crying Here is Okay  was a temporary installation created for Guelph's 2019 Juried Art Show with collaborator Breanna Rowley. The piece is a part of "PITY PARTY," an ongoing series of interactive installations.

Evoking memories of girlhood in the early 2000s and the emotionality of celebratory spaces, the "here" in question becomes at once comforting and claustrophobic, inviting and alienating.

 

Visitors were encouraged to step into the space and interact with the various elements.
